"Few blues guitarists pour as much energy into their
performance. With backup singers Lisa Grubbs and Carolyn
Kelley in support, Morvan delivered a meaningful performance
that had us sitting on the edge of our seats. Her vocals
set the room at ease, while her fiery guitar solos set the
house on fire.
This night, as Morvan sang and played selections from her
recent album and her upcoming project, she maintained a
balance of sizzling guitar work and deeply felt lyric tales.
Her closing number, "Kickin' Down Doors," brought
the house down as the guitarist strode through the audience
kickin' out one fiery burst of rock-solid blues fireworks
after another." Southland Blues Magazine

"I wanted to say "thank you" for making my
trip to Milwauke and my first time at the Slippery Noodle
so much fun. I was captivated with your guitar style and
you had me from the minute I walked into the bar. I am a
guitar player myself (but, nowhere near your talent) so
I could truly appreciate all that you were doing to make
the magic happen. I look forward to seeing you again sometime
soon. Peace, love and long life!" - Christine
"Hey there Laurie! Just want to say that I had a great
time at the Canyon Club last night... and you were by far
the BEST performance of the evening! My friend Victor and
I have never ever seen a woman that can play Blues Guitar
like you do... I can see why SRV is one of your favorites!
You sound so much like him... What a shame you two could
not be on the same stage... he would be up for one heck
of a challenge to keep up with you Girl! GO LAURIE GO! Keep
up that awesome sound and your songs with the history behind
them... we really really enjoyed ourselves. We intend to
see you again! AWESOME, SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!"
- Dawn
"LOVED your show at Stevie Rays in Louisville last
week. Loved it! And the two backup singers (Lisa and Kelly,
i think it is) are great. Laurie, i love how physical you
are and what a dynamic stage presence you have--and your
wonderful smokey voice! mmmmmm" - Les
"Laurie....you and the band were great last night
at the Canyon Club! I just wish you had been able to do
a longer set! I guess I'll have to wait until next time....take
care, and thank you so much for the great energy and talent"
- Bruce
"Hey Girl,

seen anything like you since Johnny Winters 35 years ago."
- John
"i saw your act at the gator by the bay and was impressed.
so i got some friends to go to julian blues fest with me.
now they too are impressed. cant wait to see ya again. i
got both cds and had you and the band sign them. thanks

"Thanks for the fantastic show at Knuckleheads here
in Kansas City last night. You are one mean guitar slinger!
You rocked, the LMB ladies were lovely (as were their harmonies),
and the band showed us a great time despite the rain and
the loud trains. I picked up the latest CD and will put
it in heavy-rotation on my car stereo! Be safe on the road
and I wish you and the band all the best, Laurie. You are
awesome and we hope to see you back here in KC soon. Keep
blazing trails!" - Keith
"Hi, saw you all last night at the HiDive, in Champaign
IL. Amazing!!!!!!!Downright Amazing!!!!! " - Gayla
"Great show at the slippery noodle last night, ya'll
kick butt. A buddy told me to check ya'll out and he was
right, great show." - Randy
"Greetings Laurie! I attended your concert with John
Mayall last Thursday. Your group "smoked" Mayall!!
Even my brother said about you: "She sure does know
the fretboard!!" Your voice is a cross between Johnny
Winter, Rory Gallagher, with a little Janis and that female
singer from Cold Blood. Your pipes are powerful and have
GREAT range and emotion! And speaking of Rory, I was almost
in tears when you came down in the audience and played so
close to us! WOW!! Just like Rory did way back in 1975!
Thank you so much for doing that gesture! You are in such
great shape! You are pretty enough to be a model, let alone
a beautiful and stunning blues/rock, guitar girl! In fact,
you look way better in person than you do on your website!
Laurie, you have a wonderful band! I really enjoyed the
bass player. He plays so well and is so animated! NO man
got nothin' on YOU, babe!!! You ROCK, girl!!! ;-) Bob
"My friends & I had the pleasure to see you perform
at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano last Thursday
night. WOW what a show! Thanks for a great show and the
fun conversation with you all after the show. Keep making
kick ass music and I'll keep buying it! Best wishes for
a STELLAR future! With my finest regards to all," -
Dan
"Friend Carol & I were at Original Mike's to see
Ricky Lewis & caught your last set. We were blown away
[along with everyone else on the patio]. Very nice website."

"Laurie, You shore kin play that g'it-tar! I saw you
yesterday afternoon at the Clarion in Sac and when you started
playing, I fell out of my chair. Wow! You got it. I haven't
seen a guitarist generate that much excitement in a long
time.I'm a garage band blues guitarist and was overwhelmed
by the tone you coax out of that guitar and amp. Keep on
rocking. You're going places fast. Your new fan. Hope to
see you again soon." - Rod
